Our work We don’t shy away from a challenge. That's why we’re all in on climate action.

Across New York City, a wide range of organizations are advancing climate work—from education and community programs to scientific research and public engagement. The American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) recognized an opportunity to bring this regional ecosystem together to collectively map work that’s already underway and where collaboration could accelerate progress. Workshop partnered with AMNH to design and facilitate a structured convening that engaged local partners in connecting, mapping and exploring opportunities.
The result was a clearer picture of climate impact work across NYC, along with actionable opportunities that enable partners to move forward with greater connection, alignment, and momentum.

As Textile Exchange entered a new phase of growth, they wanted to sharpen focus and more clearly define how their organization drives impact across the apparel and textile industry. Workshop led Textile Exchange through a comprehensive 5-year strategic planning process that engaged leadership, board members, and key stakeholders.
The result is an actionable roadmap that strengthens Textile Exchange’s role as a leader in advancing preferred materials and equips the organization to move forward with alignment, confidence, and momentum.

Workshop partnered with the Apparel Impact Institute to design and steward a three-year convening arc that activates apparel brands, suppliers, and funders around shared pathways for supply chain decarbonization. Convenings were designed to surface real barriers, unlock commitments, and mobilize cross-stakeholder climate activation sprints to advance initiatives.

Google’s corporate real-estate organization (REWS) is committed to meeting ambitious climate action goals and needed a way to operationalize reporting. Workshop stewarded discovery and design for a centralized reporting system that not only tracks metrics but also supports actionable insights and cross-functional accountability.

Workshop collaborated with Google’s Real Estate and Workplaces (REWS) team to craft global sustainability standards, ensuring clear guidelines, baseline requirements and performance reporting. The new standards clarify action for teams around the world and help Google stay on track for ambitious goals.

The Apparel Impact Institute (Aii) is committed to decarbonizing the apparel supply chain. They have the vision and resources, and now, they want to get more focused on their strategic roadmap. Workshop stepped in to facilitate a collaborative strategy process with their leadership and stakeholders that will ultimately amplify Aii's scale and impact.

The Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) wanted to identify how it could accelerate safer products in a complex and fragmented chemical data landscape. Workshop partnered with EDF to lead a collaborative research and strategy process that combined landscape analysis, stakeholder engagement, and iterative decision-making. Together, we identified strategic pathways for industry activation and developed a practical roadmap to help EDF focus its influence, partnerships, and efforts where they could drive the greatest impact.

Google’s real estate operation (REWS) has dedicated programs for carbon, circularity, ecology and water. Workshop partnered with the REWS Sustainability team to facilitate workshops and develop processes for improved cross-program collaboration. This process is leading to a more integrated approach across key programs and will accelerate progress on shared goals.

The Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute (C2C PII) is renowned for stewarding the “gold standard” certification for sustainable products. But they faced challenges with the underlying data essential for product certification. Workshop partnered with the Institute and took a design thinking approach to develop a comprehensive data platform.
